About COVID-19

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness that can spread from person to person. Cases have been detected in most countries worldwide and is now confirmed in all 50 states.

The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure.

If you have questions about your symptoms and whether they fit the description for COVID-19, call the Ohio Department of Health hotline at (833) 427-5634 for questions about your symptoms.

If you believe your symptoms align with those of COVID-19, call your family doctor for further instructions. If you do not have a family doctor, call one of our urgent care centers.

If you are experiencing symptoms or otherwise feel you have been exposed to COVID-19, do not visit your doctor, emergency center, or urgent care without calling first to prevent the spread of the disease.

It's important that everyone, whether they are considered part of an at-risk population or not, to take steps to reduce their risk and stop the spread of COVID-19. We recommend following the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which include:

  • Practice social distancing
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Stay home when you are sick
  • Cover your cough
