The Kettering Health Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship is a two-year, ACGME-accredited program that builds upon successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship. Fellows receive extensive training in the evaluation and treatment of complex cardiac rhythm disorders through a high-volume clinical practice that includes advanced mapping technologies, catheter ablation, cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), lead management, and multidisciplinary arrhythmia care.
We offer one Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship position each academic year. Applicants must submit a complete application through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) Medical Specialties Matching Program. Eligible applicants must have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and meet all institutional and program eligibility requirements.
Our mission is to prepare fellows for independent practice as skilled, compassionate, and evidence-based clinical cardiac electrophysiologists. We are committed to developing physicians who provide exceptional patient-centered care across the continuum of cardiac rhythm disorders. The program emphasizes clinical excellence, procedural proficiency, scientific inquiry, professionalism, systems-based practice, lifelong learning, and scholarly activity including engagement in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives that advance the field of electrophysiology. Fellows are trained to apply critical thinking and evidence-based decision-making while maintaining the highest standards of ethical and compassionate patient care. Graduates leave the program fully prepared for independent clinical practice and board examination in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
