Training Program Director
Training Well Rounded Cardiologists Since 2008! The Kettering Health Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease is designed to produce cardiologists of the highest caliber. The program allows trainees the opportunity to have the broadest clinical exposure, technical expertise, and research training.

The KMC Cardiovascular Fellowship Training Program was established in 2008 and is presently an ACGME accredited program. We currently provide nine fellowship training positions. Our fellowship is a three-year program and requires completion of an Internal Medicine Residency, graduation from a LCME accredited medical school or an ECFMG Certification.

We have three cardiology fellowship training positions per year. Applicants are required to submit their complete applications through the Electronic Residency Applicant Service (ERAS) and must enroll in the Medical Specialties Matching Program (MSMP). Upon completion of the Cardiovascular Fellowship Training Program, fellows have the option of applying to our one year Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program.

We are committed to training fellows in Cardiology encompassing the study and practice of patient-centered care from adolescence to old age, during health and all stages of illness. We have placed renewed emphasis on clinical competency and assessment. At Kettering we emphasize scientific knowledge, especially the scientific method of problem solving, logical and high quality evidence-based decision making, a commitment to lifelong learning, and an attitude of caring derived from humanistic and professional values.
