The KH/Kettering Health Dayton Internal Medicine Residency Program is a 3-year residency program which takes six residents per year into the program.

The program must serve to train and graduate physicians who will represent the profession throughout the United States as leaders in the application of skills related to healthcare delivery systems. These skills will work to enhance the quality of patients' lives and the preservation and restoration of patients' health. This program will also train graduate physicians in business management, information technology and effective communication, culture diversity, and growth of osteopathic principles and management.
Internal Medicine residents will train at several locations throughout Kettering Health Network, which include:

- Kettering Health Dayton
- Kettering Health Main Campus
- Kettering Health Washington Township
Besides the above locations, rotations also occur at outpatient offices throughout the Dayton area.

Residents are also given the opportunity to present research at local, regional, state or national conferences.
