During your time in residency here, you will be encouraged and, at times, required to attend various conferences around the country. Some of these conferences and courses include a cadaveric sinus course, a temporal bone course, the AOCMF facial trauma course, the AAOA basic allergy course, AOCOO-HNS annual meeting and the AAO-HNS annual meeting.
In addition to the time spent with pediatric ENT specialists at Dayton Children's Hospital during the first two training years, the resident will receive further advanced pediatric training at Cincinnati Children's Hospital during the PGY-3 year. There is also a two month rotation in Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati.
The residents also have access to several sim labs. In addition to our dedicated monthly temporal bone lab, there also is unique sim lab training with endoscopic ear surgery. A state of the art cadaveric dissection lab is also available to all surgical residents.
