Mission Statement
The Soin Transitional Year Residency Program offers a broad-based, flexible post-graduate year in which residents can shape their initial medical careers building a strong base in clinical medicine and academics, with research opportunities. We aim to train skilled and empathetic residents who will take their initial experiences as a physician and continue to grow personally and professionally through the next stage of their postgraduate training.
Program Aims:
- To provide a solid foundation in general medicine in a supportive environment, while offering diverse elective rotations which will support adult learners in tailoring to their specific career goals.
- To train residents to work in teams to help them succeed in a multi-disciplinary, professional healthcare environment.
- To model and encourage consideration of an appropriate work life balance through by offering a robust wellness program.
