OB
We have three core faculty with L&D privileges, including two core faculty who are fellowship trained with surgical obstetric privileges.
We provide complete prenatal care regardless of gestational age or financial status at our two locations in Beavercreek and Jamestown, with labor and delivery taking place at Kettering Health Main Campus in Kettering.
All prenatal visits are staffed with one of our core FMOB faculty, and most deliveries and postpartum dyad care are supervised by these attendings through hospital discharge.
Our residents are assigned pregnant continuity patients as early as their first year in training.

We manage both routine and high-risk pregnancies, with support of high-risk obstetrics from perinatologists Residents gain experience with limited OB POCUS, including 1st trimester CRL dating, AFI, and fetal and placental locations.
Intrapartum, residents are prioritized to perform all cervical exams and interventions for their continuity patients, as well as performing routine circumcisions upon family request as part of routine postpartum dyad care. Many families choose us for their pediatric care after hospital discharge as well!
Residents become ALSO certified in their first year to glean skills for obstetric emergencies. Senior residents have the option to help teach ALSO courses and become certified instructors as well.
The residency hosts quarterly didactics entirely dedicated to a variety of women's health-related topics, including obstetric care, sex-specific cancer screening, various gynecologic topics, and breast health.
Soin Family Medicine offers the option to pursue OB competency during residency, which requires a minimum of 80 vaginal deliveries and demonstrated competency in cervical exams, AROM, FSE, and IUPC placement, second degree laceration repair, LARC placement and removal, and limited OB POCUS.
We are excited to invest in your learning and share the joy that comes with providing holistic, longitudinal prenatal care for birthing persons and their families!
