A native of Ann Arbor, Michigan (Go Blue!), Dr. Kakaraparthi attended the University of Michigan where he completed a degree in Neuroscience. After graduating, he continued to work at his undergrad research lab. A couple of years, a handful of posters and pubs, and a thousand PCRs later (though he'd be back during a gap year in medical school), he attended Michigan State University for his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine. Thus, he became the enigmatic Spartan Wolverine, carrying both of his schools on his sleeves. Dr. Kakaraparthi interviewed in a wide variety of places, and decided to head south to Ohio for residency at Grandview Family Medicine. He believed this was the place for him to both succeed as a resident and be happy doing so! In his free time Dr. Kakaraparthi enjoys writing, racquet sports, road trips, video games, and proudly being a geek (examples: playing Baldur's Gate 3 with Dr. To or screaming "Morgoth" at the top of his lungs during Dr. Fry's obligatory Lord of the Rings question during didactics Jeopardy).
